But, to be honest, the load of a hearing aid is so modest that I don't think the lack of a load will make a great deal difference in the reading. If it reads in the yellow, replace the battery and avoid a failure at an inconvenient time. I'll acknowledge that Batteries aren't cheap. But, given how much the hearing aids help and what hearing aids cost me to get that benefit, personally, I'd just as soon not fart around trying to get the last moment of use of each battery. Sometimes moisture causes the hearing aid to say the battery is low when in fact it just needs to be dried out.
