I found the boot-shaped blades worked best because they can cut deeper. In terms of strength and longevity, I used one blade to cut about 7 metres in total, and after that it was showing signs of wear, and I had to turn it round and cut using the less worn edge. So these are a fine for occasional use and are good value.
