Made from BPA-free silicone with a patented dual mold design, it produces slow-melting, bar-quality ice perfect for cocktails and whisky. Easy to use and clean, it transforms your home bar experience with professional-grade clarity and chill. ## Description Just like in nature, frigid air meets the surface of warmer water and eventually, an ice crystal forms. Then another and another, freezing from the top down, pushing air bubbles and impurities away. ice ology ice cube system works the same way removing the air and allowing dissolved solids to settle, eliminating any cloudiness in the pure, crystal clear ice. Each ice ology tray features a lower and upper silicone mold. To use, fill the lower tray with tap water, and lower the upper silicone mold into place. During the freezing process (12 hours/overnight), bubbles and impurities filter to the bottom of the tray, leaving crystal clear ice in the ice molds! The result is an oversized cube that keeps your drink colder for longer without diluting. It's never been easier to make bar quality clear ice at home, thanks to ice ology! ## Features - Easy Clear Ice Making: Ice-ology delivers "bar-quality" clear ice at home by removing impurities and bubbles during freezing. Am I doing something wrong?** A: Sorry to say, I had the same issue and returned the item. I haven’t found a better solution. Our son and a neighbor both have the LG refrigerator model that makes round ice cubes, which I really like as they don’t melt fast. However, as expensive as the refrigerator is, it still makes cloudy ice cubes. **Q: What is the diameter of the ice Spheres?** A: The diameter of the spheres is 2". **Q: Are the balls 2" or 1.75"? The website says 1.75" and on a sphere that is a significant difference in mass.** A: Definitely on the smaller size. Not a traditional ice ball. Not something I would purchase again or recommend. **Q: I bought the product but the bottom 1/4 or so is not clear. Any suggestons?** A: Make sure the container is at least room temperature before filling with water, and use filtered water. You can fill the first part of the silicone with warm water and then the ice tray with cold to help the process. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Use distilled water *by on Reviewed in the United States September 30, 2022* Product works perfectly as intended, and I really enjoy it. I got a small 1.1 cubic ft Whynter freezer as well and this mold fits perfectly in the top compartment with a bin on the bottom for finished cubes. I like how large they are.I had a problem with WHITE FLAKES collecting on the outside of the ice and after experimenting and talking with Dexas support (very helpful and informative), I have some tips. This strange white debris is calcium carbonate or calcium sulfate in the water that precipitates on the outside of the cubes after freezing. The calcium comes from the tap water. I didn't think I had particularly hard water, so this surprised me. It was also odd that it seemed to collect only on the outside of the ice.If this is a problem for you, make sure to thoroughly clean your ice molds. Try soaking them in a bit of vinegar mixture to really make sure the calcium is removed from the molds, and then try again with distilled water. There is a second problem with distilled water though. Distilled water is pure H2O, so there is no dissolved calcium carbonate, no dissolved ANYTHING. The way ice forms, however, requires some sort of initial impurity in the water to start the crystalization. If you make ice with distilled water, you'll end up with these small streaks in the ice that all direct down toward the hold in the center. It's very interesting, and you can try it for yourself. My solution to these streaks is just to put the tiniest bit of impurities back into the distilled water before freezing again. I put just a pinch of salt in each cube. The ice from this is perfectly clear and clean. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome Cubed Ice *by on Reviewed in the United States February 21, 2026* I couldn’t be happier. I love this ice mold. As a home mixologist, I don’t have an abundance of space for my hobby, and my freezer has even less space. This mold takes up little space and makes AMAZING cubes. It’s easy to fill and really easy to get the ice out of. The ice is also super clear, though I do use double-filtered water. That’s just what we have in our fridge. No need to buy an expensive machine or trays. This works really well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good! *by on Reviewed in the United States April 21, 2022* This maker makes fairly clear ice in my chest freezer but not perfect. I have a 4 ball round cube maker that makes absolutely clear ice with hot tap water but it takes 48 hours. I believe the key to getting crystal clear ice is for the cubes to freeze slowly. If your freezer is 0 degrees, it will freeze fairly fast and be cloudy. If your freezer is set warmer, I think I get better results. So if you have a freezer with digital temperature control, turn it up to as warm as it will go and try it if you aren't getting good results. This does work and cubes are fairly clear, and I like the size of the cubes for cocktails. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dexas Ice•ology Clear Ice Maker Tray for Crystal Clear Ice, 2 Round Spheres BPA Free Silicone Clear Ice Cube Maker, Craft Ice Cube Molds for Cocktails, Drinks & Whiskey, Gift Ideas - Berlinzo Reusable Ice & Food Storage Bag - Freezer Safe, Leakproof, BPA-Free Silicone, Plastic-Free Lunch Bag - One Bag --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/170880387-ice-ology-clear-ice-tray-2-count-round-sphere-tray](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/170880387-ice-ology-clear-ice-tray-2-count-round-sphere-tray) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
