## Description

Picks fights with heavy-duty tasks and wins. Flavio Ikoma’s new rugged everyday carry folding knife is looking for a chance to flex its strength. An IKBS ball bearing pivot system with a flipper smoothly deploys a beefy modified drop point blade. Then the new innovative ILS safety sets a pin between the frame and locking liner and you are ready get to work. Grab the heavy-duty waffle iron traction grip handle and good luck letting go.No Time Off from designer Flavio Ikoma of Presidente Prudente, Brazil, was initially designed to be a mechanic’s folder. It’s strong, yet versatile enough to handle whatever tasks you throw its way. You’ll be amazed with how smoothly Flavio’s IKBS ball bearing pivot system deploys the blade on this little workhorse. And you’ll love how the patented ILS (Ikoma Locking System) ingeniously uses a lever with an elbow to automatically set a pin between the frame and liner. This helps prevent the liner from slipping down the blade ramp, and gives you an extra layer of safety when debris such as lint, dirt and grease gunk up your locking liner. When you’re done using your knife, press down on the ILS thumb rest and slide the locking liner over to disengage the safety. When you need a knife with state-of-the-art features for heavy-duty tasks, the No Time Off is ready to punch in.Specifications:Blade Length: 2.99" (75.95 mm)Edge: PlainSteel: BD1Blade Finish: SatinBlade Thickness: 0.15" (3.81 mm)Grind: HollowClosed Length: 4.28" (108.71 mm)Open Length: 7.25" (184.15 mm)Weight: 5.9 oz (167.26g)Handle: Glass Reinforced NylonStyle: Folding Knife with Locking Liner

You must learn the lock before you gripe!

*by H***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2017*

Has become one of my favorite EDC's. I use it as a tool to cut, pry, screw, etc. This little tike is great! Sharp edge seems to last well. The lock blade has a new "double lock" that really secures the blade but if not used correctly may not fully lock the blade open. Now I have the knife, I see what others are griping about. I too had a bit of trouble until I figured out the second lock. ( ATTN: CRKT SEND INSTRUCTIONS TO US NEWBIES) After you flip it open (love this feature), slide over the second lock and push it in to secure it between the blade lock bar and inside of handle. Now its wickedly locked in place. To close I roll my thumb using the inside edge to flip the 2d lock up then roll both it and the lock bar to the side so I can close the blade. Genius! If you dont take the time to learn to use a tool correctly dont cry because it doesnt work for you. If you like good solid hard working tools, get this knife. I just got a 2d one.

    Great EDC Knife

*by K***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2016*

This is an awesome EDC knife it uses an american steel; Carpenter's CTS-BD1 that is slightly superior to AUS-8 in terms of edge retention, corrosion resistance, hardness and wear resistance. The blade is a drop point design with a hollow grind and it was pretty sharp of the box, which was good. The IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) used in the pivot made the knife very easy and super smooth to flip out. The locking system used in this knife known as ILS (Ikoma Locking System) is a pretty innovative design that adds an extra layer of safety on the liner lock, as it is easy to get use to after awhile. The handle is made of glass reinforced nylon with this waffle iron pattern to it that gives it good grip and making it slightly superior to a material such as G-10. In fiber glass reinforce nylon, the nylon fibers are arranged haphazardly throughout which results in it being strong in all directions as opposed to G-10, Carbon Fiber and Micarta which have the fiberglass strands aligned in a single direction. The two holes on the handle was an interesting design choice as it was meant for the user to place their thumb and index finger there, allowing the knife to spin in the hand to change position when required. The pocket clip is a low profile deep carry and does not intrude on handling or pocketing the knife as its placement sit in a recess in the handle. Overall, this is an awesome EDC knife to have as a tool.

    Solid Work Knife

*by M***M on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2017*

This knife is very solidly built. It weighs a little more than other liner lock knives I have in the same size range (Emerson and Benchmade) but not objectionably so. It is a work knife just as the advertising says. Don't expect lightning fast deployment. Out of the box, the action is stiff but feels like it is well designed and manufactured so that it will "break in" over time rather than wear out. The double liner lock design seems a bit "gimmicky" in that I've never had a liner lock fail in the open position. Once you get the feel of the double lock, it is not difficult at all to operate. If you need a small, beefy work blade that will stand up to some heavy duty use, this is it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
