The handle and power cord are long enough that I can use this on my back by myself. It doesn't take any pressure to feel really good. I am an old athlete with old stringy muscles in my legs that get stuck and need to be physically manipulated to separate the layers. This does just that for me. It's a painful reminder of the old days and I usually have to go to PT to have it done. If I use this with pressure it helps tremendously!
