As I was running low on Resin I thought I wold be better off using the same brand of resin as the printer so purchased a bottle of Elegoo water washable resin. It's now Tuesday and I've already used up the 1kg bottle. Not because I've done 100's of perfect prints, far from it. Nearly every print failed. Either it detached at the supports, or simply produced a miss shaped print. I tried changing the settings to those suggested on YouTube, and by using the downloadable profile - all the same. With the last bit of resin left I ordered a bottle of Anycubic Water washable 2.0 resin which arrived today. I used the last bit of the Elegoo resin to print off some N scale model containers and every one failed again. I cleaned the build plate and resin vat and then filled the vat with the Anycubic resin. I did nothing else, just set the machine to print off the same file that had just failed. 90 minutes later it finished and I had 10 perfect parts, all still attached to the build plate via the supports. So why did I give this review 5 stars, because of the fantastic after service care. Elegoo reached out to me after desertcart published the above review. I sent a few images of the poor results, along with the batch number. Over the course of a few days and an exchange of messages a refund was offered and accepted. The funds were back in my account within a couple of days. So whilst my experience with the resin was not great, the service and supports post purchase was second to none. So whilst my experience with the resin was not great, the service and supports post purchase was second to none. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great thank you *by F***D on 21 April 2026* Great works a treat ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The 8k Resin may be double the price but it may very well be worth it, even without an 8k Printer *by M***Y on 16 October 2023* So i have been using the normal water washable resin with my Saturn s for about a year since buying it with minor issue. I tend to like using water washable as it just makes clean up easier. I recently got a Saturn 3 Ultra and decided to get a bottle of the 8k resin to test. I have to say I was blown away. NOT because the quality is any better for printing, I did a test print of the same model on the same machine for both resins and i think its easier to see the detail with the darker 8k resin so i dont think thats the main draw. The main benifit is how much stronger the 8k version is. Typical elegoo water washable is fairly brittle which is why i think i got quite a few failures be it partial or full, this stuff on the other hand is way sturdier and just feels stronger.
