On Smart TVs they are HDMI inputs, on laptops generally they are to output the signal to another device, so this wouldn't work on a laptop. **Q: Can i watch live football matches?** A: You can Install the BT sport app on it BUT will work only if you have a BT Sport app paid account. Or you can cast from an Android or Apple device to it and that may work if the app on your phone allows you to see live sport AND ALSO allows casting, not all apps do... but there is no live sport included directly on the Chromecast. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprisingly Good *by C***O on 8 June 2020* I wasn’t sure what to expect with this unit but after a few teething problems and no manual on how to use it once installed it is a success. No WiFi nor connection issues set up was straightforward. Great quality picture transfer and sound.I use this for watching streaming broadcasts Twitch etc. And occasionally casting a pc screen.Twitch: using chrome on pc I had a problem of the chrome cast symbol not being present on the stream, so I used the 3 vertically aligned dots on the top right of chrome browser selected cast from the list selected the tv the chrome cast unit was plugged into and twitch logo appears on screen... saying ready to cast but no stream.The solution was to go to settings on twitch (small cog) and select pop out player.. chromecast symbol appears and off you go. Good sound sync to 4K picture.PC screen: Another feature I found useful was casting a pc screen to the tv screen as a mirror. Do that via 3 vertical dots cast select and click source At bottom of the line. Your pc monitors pop up and select which you want to cast. Some lag here so don’t expect high speed games to work well here.No issues with WiFi connection for me, others are reporting problems but I had no such issues.All in all very satisfied ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product *by G***Y on 1 January 2021* Very good, works from iPad or android phone, easy to set up and cast to tv. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great 4K picture *by T***Y on 10 October 2020* A very small box for casting video from your phone or tablet onto your tv.
