It can spin for about 30 seconds or so would be my best guess. **Q: Is Vertical Outer ring welded properly or has gap which produces vibration and noise at high speed?** A: The vertical outer ring is not welded together, and it does make a loud noise at high speeds. However, the small gap makes it easier to fix if the spinning piece falls out. **Q: Does it come with the stand** A: Yes it does. It is black, not red. **Q: Does the gyroscope include the string ?** A: Yes, the string is included, but any strong, thin string would work. What is disappointing to me is the quality of the construction which is not at a par with similar gyroscopes manufactured in the past. The gyroscope I received works, but barely, and has an unstable vibration that greatly diminishes the spinning time and strength of the gyroscopic effect. He got one of these a couple of months ago and started playing with it while explaining all the physics behind it and the principles applications... he has us all agape.
