The code I see stamped on the battery is 0613. The code indicates the week of the year for the first two digits and the last two digits for the year that the battery was made. In my case, the date code was 0613 meaning the battery was made the second week of February of 2013. So if they have a shelf life of 10 years from date of manufacture, then I'd say February of 2023. I’ve been using them in high-drain flashlights, and they hold up very well—much longer than the cheaper alternatives I’ve tried. They arrive fresh, individually packaged, and ready to go, which is nice for storage and easy to keep in a bag or drawer without worrying about contacts touching. What I especially like is their reliability. When you put them in, the flashlight works at full brightness right away—no dim or inconsistent performance. They also have a long shelf life, so even if you don’t use them right away, you know they’ll still be good years down the line. Something to keep in mind: these are not rechargeable. For me, that’s a plus since it keeps them simple and dependable, but if you’re looking for a rechargeable option, you’ll need to choose a different type.
