NEEDS A THROTTLE CONTROL ON HANDLE FOR SAFE USE. **Q: What brand of motor?** A: China for sure. What I do know about this blower is that i used it a little bit last year for leaf season and stowed it away. I got it out this year to blow a few leaves and the impeller broke in half. I was able to contact someone by email but they have not been very informative with whether I will receive a new impeller or not. Without it… if I do not receive an impeller this year for leaf season, This machine is useless. I would not buy it again. $500 for a couple hours of run time on the machine is pretty expensive. **Q: Warranty on impeller? Fell apart inside blower after 2 hrs.
