Color appears permanent -- ie, lasts longer. Very pleased. ### ⭐ So old the bottle cracked! *by D***T on March 12, 2017* Be cautious. First, a really old package was sent. I went ahead and attempted to use it. HOWEVER, the bottle that has the squirt tube (activating cream) into which you are supposed to pour the color, immediately cracked when I tried to open it. Apparently the bottle was so old that it was unable to be squeezed. (Except that you have to squeeze it to get the mixture onto your hair.) Fortunately I had a cup nearby. I am still attempting to use it by mixing in a cup and scooping color onto my hair. Not sure how it's going to work since I really only need roots done, and the "scoop and apply" method does not enable me to focus on roots. ### ⭐⭐⭐ NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING.... *by H***L on May 3, 2012* Let me start by saying I have healthy, light brown hair that I bleached to pale blonde, almost white. It managed to stay in great condition even after the bleach. After reading reviews, I saw that this was a good choice to tone for an awesome natural-looking medium blonde. I followed directions EXACTLY and even left the color on as long as indicated in the instructions. The result looked as if I did nothing at all! My hair looked the exact same shade as I began with.... white! I guess it's better than a horrible dark brown or black which people sometimes come up with after coloring bleached hair. However, I did a lot of studying before attempting this so that would not happen to me. My hair is still in good condition, but now I have to RE-COLOR again after bleaching, which I'm sure cannot be good for my hair (besides the embarrasement of walking through the store like this). I must assume that this was an individual defective product...as I've used this brand before with success. But I will be using Colorsilk in Medium Ash Blonde instead after reading even more reviews.**** UPDATE **** Colorsilk in Med Ash Blonde was perfect.... healthy & shiny too.
