It all depends on what you are attempting to run and if you've done your homework as to impedance, wattage, and how you plan on running them series, parallel, or both. But marine speakers are only 'usually' different by way of being water resistant and or water proof. That's really all that makes them 'special' is usually having a water proof enclosure.
