Currently on my third. I tried - very carefully - to replace the battery on the first two, but apparently didn't get the gasket quite right. They should have a way to send units back for new batteries at a reasonable cost. **Q: has the product been fixed and does it last longer now?** A: Mine is still working great, have used about 30-40 times and works as well as when I bought it. Great product for someone that swims a lot of laps, or distance. **Q: are you able to see the counter and numbers when you're immersed under the water? Does it have any light?** A: I can see the numbers if my goggles aren't fogged up. After you press the button, the lap counter shows up, then about three strokes later the lap time shows up, and then it goes back to elapsed time. **Q: Can you use the counter and the timer at the same time.** A: Of course. After all, it is essentially a counter. The only downside is that you need to be careful to hit the button correctly to make sure the lap is counted. this may be a common issue, but since it is my first one, i can't tell. The best thing to do is practice a few times to see where in your stroke it is most efficient to click the button.
