## Description

10 mil (Paperback) Peel and Stick Backer (Overall Thickness .024+/- .010) The 10 mil paper backed veneer provides stability and flexibility while helping to minimize splitting, grain-raise and glue seepage. Tenderized Paperback veneer will bend to wrap a 1" radius. Grain and Color appearance variation can be expected from sheet to sheet and lot to lot, it will vary from what is pictured because it is a natural wood product. Solvent-Based adhesive is recommended. Water based adhesives are not recommended. Adhesives should be allowed to cure for 48 hours prior to finishing. Ready for light stain and/or clear finish. Great for refacing, refurbishing, and repairing furniture, shelves, cabinets, ect. All veneer should be acclimated prior to application. Surface must be clean, dry and smooth to ensure a good bond. Machine Surface Sand of 150 grit. Veneer is sanded to a smooth uniform finish. Application instructions included with material.

Review: Great for stair risers - High quality veneer. Very smooth. Easy to cut and great grip. I used it to repair stair risers that were damaged during floor refinishing. I did find that the slick adhesive cover film was harder to peel off along the slightly rough cross-grain factory edges than the ones I had cut--the adhesive wanted to peel off with the film along those cuts, but once I got the film started, it came off easily. I initially received the wrong product, with only a paper backer, not the peel-and-stick PSA, but customer service was prompt and I had the correct veneer a few days later. I suggest checking before you remove it from the box--the 3M logo was very clear on the right one. The paper backer was a dark brown matte color instead. Re-rolling the veneer to fit in the box is a two-person task! I unrolled my veneer and weighed both ends down for 2 days, and it was reasonably flat, with just enough curl to make installation a little easier than if it were completely flat. It is possible to reposition after you get some adhesive stuck, but the initial grip is pretty strong, so don't count on that. Once rolled with a J-roller, it was very solid--no hollow sound when tapping. Much easier than attempting contact cement with a paper-backed veneer.
Review: I did good with it - I'm not a carpenter but I'm very happy with the results. The product was easy to work with. Be aware, you may not get a second chance at applying the veneer, it got good glue on it!

High quality veneer. Very smooth. Easy to cut and great grip. I used it to repair stair risers that were damaged during floor refinishing. I did find that the slick adhesive cover film was harder to peel off along the slightly rough cross-grain factory edges than the ones I had cut--the adhesive wanted to peel off with the film along those cuts, but once I got the film started, it came off easily. I initially received the wrong product, with only a paper backer, not the peel-and-stick PSA, but customer service was prompt and I had the correct veneer a few days later. I suggest checking before you remove it from the box--the 3M logo was very clear on the right one. The paper backer was a dark brown matte color instead. I like this veneer for the most part. I added this veneer to a dresser’s drawer fronts. It was very easy to put on and cut with a utility knife. They stain very well and they look great. I have noticed a little bubbling where the veneer hasn’t adhered properly.
