I don't really have occasion to wear fancy shawls, but I like feeling fancy even in the comfort of my own home, so why not? The material is very thin and scarf-like; the sparkly bits are regular sequins. It's not the softest thing in the world, but it does look really nice. The shawl drapes nicely around the shoulders and truly does look like an expensive addition to an outfit.
