Review: Delighted - So happy with this item. I ordered her from a US seller from desertcart and she arrived in just 11 days! The doll is beautiful. I am in awe of her lovely outfit which is reminiscent of the 60's Barbie I grew up with. Its well made, stylist and totally wearable. She has a pale green floral dress with a grey "woolen" coat, little white silk gloves all topped by a neat black pill box hat. Her specs are really cute and she has a super pretty little face. All in all she is a lovely doll and would be a pride of place in a collection- Fully recommended.

**Q: Why isn’t there one of claudette colvin...the real hero of that story**
A: I agree she needs recognition but in terms of Civil Rights Movement,  a decision was made to use Rosa Parks as the "start and face" because she was older. Claudette was only 15 years old at the time; we know that time was difficult for all people of color but can you imagine being only 15 and having to carry the weight of, technically, starting the Civil rights movement? Parks was an older woman who, unfortunately, had a lifetime of racism she'd already faced. My Grandparents and parents were VERY active in the Civil rights movement...heads and founders of chapters of the NAACP, bussing groups to march in various cities and states, being run out of cities by the KKK and having to relocate in a different region of the U.S.; when their children were infants and toddlers. As my parents got older, they got more and more involved but were not allowed on the front lines until they were adults because of how dangerous it was. I don't think it would've been safe for Colvin to be "the face" of the start of the Civil rights movement.  There was ONE teen who tragically ended up as a face of the Civil rights era...Emmett Till. Im personally waiting for a Mary McLoud Bethune doll; shes my Great Great Aunt and a huge reason why Elenor Roosevelt was so active in human rights. SO many women need to be honored! 
Selecting Rosa Parks was a calculated choice; and let's be honest...how many people, other than those "who know", know of Claudette Colvin? She ABSOLUTELY deserves to be honored and when she is, I'll be there to pre-order mine!

**Q: Why's there no mention of mrs. parks, in addition of being a seamstress, she was a secretary for the naacp and was chosen for her role**
A: I agree. I’d like to see the NAACP on the box. Maybe a little sewing machine or printing press! Mary B- I’ve met her twice and she’s light skinned.

**Q: Has the seller corrected the issue with shipping packaging? Did not see complaints about the box arriving damaged in the two most recent reviews.**
A: Hi I did see similar reviews/complaints these are sales from seller to buyer, there was compromise in their packaging to save money. 

Check the amazon fulfilled sales, these will packaged and shipped by amazon to the seller we expect much better quality packaging. For the barbies, We are selling our company is selling with amazon fulfilled.
