It appears to be 304 stainless steel. **Q: will this work with non pilot arc torches and will it work with AG-60 torch?** A: I don't have one, but from what I have seen, it should work with just about anything **Q: Is this unit made in the US?** A: It says right on the Amazon listing for this item that it is, but it doesn't say it anywhere on the tool. With that said this is a very good product, there are nobs you can twist to engage/disengage the magnets. This makes it super easy to get the straight edge set up just the way you want ut without fighting the magnets. The actual metal is fairly think stainless stell so this thing is going to last. As great as it is im just not sure its worth close to 80 bucks. One more thing.
