Featuring a durable aluminum body and intuitive color-coded scales, it simplifies complex flight planning tasks such as wind correction, fuel calculations, and navigation. This trusted tool comes with a protective case and instruction manual, making it an indispensable companion for mastering aviation fundamentals and acing your FAA written test. ## Description Master essential flight-planning calculations with the ASA Color E6-B Flight Computer. This traditional mechanical aviation computer features solid aluminum construction and color-coded scales designed to make important information easier to identify and read. Use it for common flight-planning calculations including time, speed, distance, fuel, unit conversions, and wind calculations. The wind side uses color to help distinguish wind correction direction, while the circular calculator provides the familiar functionality pilots expect from an E6B. Measuring 9.75 x 5 inches, the Color E6-B includes a protective vinyl case and instruction booklet. A practical flight-planning tool for student pilots, experienced aviators, and anyone who wants the reliability of a manual E6B flight computer. ## Features - ASA has been a leading name in aviation training for decades. Unlike generic flight computers, the ASA Color E6B is designed specifically for student pilots, instructors, and professional aviators who need reliable performance for checkride preparation and real-world flight planning. - Color-coded E6B for faster learning. Exclusive color-coded scales make aviation calculations easier to understand and faster to complete. Blue, red, and black markings help pilots quickly identify distance, time, temperature, weight, fuel, and wind correction calculations, reducing confusion. - Forget lightweight plastic alternatives. The ASA Color E6B is manufactured from durable solid aluminum for smooth operation and long-term accuracy. Built to withstand years of use in flight bags, classrooms, cockpits, and training environments. - The ASA Color E6B is manufactured from durable solid aluminum for smooth operation and long-term accuracy. Is this something worthwhile to give him as a gift? Is this something he will eventually need?** A: My son is currently in flight school beginning a second career. This is something he shared with me about his experiences: Yes, many flight instruments already do the calculations done on an E6B. It is a helpful reduction of in-flight workload. Yes, the CX3 is more accurate and is allowed to be used on the FAA test. He owns one and uses it often. But do keep in mind that while pilots are very well trained and planes are well built, training has taught me that it is VERY important to be prepared for the worst possible outcome, because it CAN happen. It's not likely that your avionics fail AND you run out of batteries for your CX3 AND your iPad dies, but it COULD happen. An E6B is a fantastic backup you can always rely on, and an impressive piece of engineering besides. It is a great gift and a huge asset to have handy, even if it's not used often. **Q: Does it have wind portion on the back?** A: On the wind side, colors are used to identify wind variation: blue identifies west (or right wind correction angle) and red identifies east (or left wind correction angle) **Q: Is it metal or plastic ?** A: Metal **Q: I want to return the damaged item and grt a replace one...** A: communicate with amazon and or the vendor and they should be able to help in the return ## Frequently Bought Together - ASA Color E6B Flight Computer - ASA Rotating Plotter - Aviation Navigation Tool - 13" Analog Display - Waterproof - ASA CX-3 Flight Computer – Advanced Electronic E6B for Accurate Flight Planning and FAA Exam Preparation --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/1492699-color-e6b-flight-computer-aluminum-mechanical-aviation-calculator-for-flight](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/1492699-color-e6b-flight-computer-aluminum-mechanical-aviation-calculator-for-flight) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
