**Q: how do i remove the old one?**
A: Push or lift whats left of the old button in use a small screwdriver to lightly pry the clip outward. Do this alternating ends a few times and it will come right out.

**Q: Where do I get one for a 1996 Suburban?**
A: I got mine from the junk yard. Easy to take out and install.

Perfect fit in my 2000 Suburban and easy install. I used a butterknife to push the clips on the old latch in (I broke them in the process, by pushing in too hard, but it was fine, just made it easier to remove). Then pulled out the old latch, and pushed the new one in. It was really simple.
