Don't know if it changed, or if it's just been so long. In other thoughts, this tastes best with milk with some fat in it. We only buy fat free milk, and that is not the right milk for this product. It needs some fat in order to best bring out the flavors of the spices. Otherwise, it's just too strong. I had some cream on hand, and found that substituting up to 1 part cream fixed the issue.Note that the ratio is 1 part chai base to 3 parts milk, so 1 carton gets you 16 1-cup servings, vs the 8 1-cup servings in a more common 1:1 ratio carton. It is, unfortunately, 3.5 times the cost of the other brands per carton. It's still significantly cheaper than going to a coffee shop, approximately half the sugar, and has a more interesting flavor.The carton arrived in a padded paper envelope. It is a tribute to the carton manufacturer that it did not break, as it was so beaten up that it doesn't stand up well on its own anymore. But - stick with the quarter cup to 3/4 cup milk formula and you'll get less calories and less sugar - the taste is still good and still sweet. I'm a fan of chai and I am against formulas that don't have the complex spices and are way too sugary. While this is a little high in sugar for me I'm giving it a thumbs up because it has the spice and complexity in flavor to go with it.
