Blue suede appears to be real and looks quite stylish. The piping and stitching are precise. Whatever the "hemp-like" material surrounding the bottom looks great too. Overall the pictures are accurate.These are not very comfortable barefoot. The arch construction is very awkward; it extends onto the "hemp-like" border at the bottom and bends it perpendicular to the ground. Not that I expected great arch support from a slip on, but perhaps the sole near the arch could've been wider.I am 6'3" 195lbs. Size 11. The size is a teeny-tiny bit small for an 11, but very close. Due to the poor construction, I think these would be best for someone who weighs 25+ lbs less than me.If you plan on using these daily, look elsewhere. They appear to be true to size. The shoes are extremely comfortable as well as stylish. The color shown in the accompanying photo is pretty accurate---perhaps it is a shade lighter on the shoes. The dark piping accents the color. The soles are rubber but have an imitation stacked material look, which gives the shoe a bit of a tropical look. I've gotten lots of compliments on these shoes. You can't go wrong buying them.
