There is an adapter that you sweat onto copper pipe that has a PEX fitting on the other end. Search for pex to copper fitting. **Q: Will this tool crimp 4/0 wire splices?** A: This tool would crimp anything that would fit in the jaws. As far as the size handling of the crimp in the jaws on large copper cables I have not tried that as of yet and could not guarantee it to fit. However the jaws tend to stick after crimping and pull out of the tool. Its also a bit heavy and does not work in confined areas. However if you have a lot of crimps to make, it is worth the money.
