I think it works as I rarely see coyotes after I spray. I think the trick is to be conservative, and spray only a few spots, acting like a wolf might mark his territory. It does not deter squirrels or raccoons and am not sure about skunks! Using the vials with holes at the top helps with the fact that you have to spray after a rain.
