I decided to do a paint by numbers myself instead, and I'm thrilled with the results so far. I ordered just one photo to begin to make sure I liked it. See my photo I submitted and the resulting painting. Overall, the process was fairly easy to follow, but I do have some notes: (1) Some of the shapes have incredibly narrow pieces that make it hard to tell what number applies to a part of the canvas. The included paper map helped me figure those out. (2) Some of the paint colors were a bit watery, so I applied them very thick to make sure the color was right. This looks nice. (3) I made some adjustments after I finished to adjust the colors in a couple places so the picture looks better. I added whiskers to my dog and eye shine. Overall, the end result looks great! Even if you aren't perfectly in the lines, the style of the image is very forgiving. It does take a LONG time to do (I'd guess I spent 10 hours), so I did it over a 2-week period. You need a lot of patience. And sometimes I would look at a color and think it made no sense, but clearly, it came out really pretty, even when there's like... army green in here somewhere?? ;) All this to say, the best thing I can tell you about this product is I liked it enough that I have ordered another for my next dog. Review: Wow! You're going to love it! - Wow! I am totally impressed with the final results of this project! I wasn't sure what to expect this being my first time painting by number. I have been trying to paint a canvas of my dog and after multiple attempts that just didn't capture her correctly, I opted to try this product. When it arrived, I was surprised at the tedious detailing of the number coded map on the canvas however, it was very simple to follow and execute. It turned out that the creator picked up on all the colors that make up her coat and belly and included 30 different paint colors. And I have to say that from a certain distance, the finished product looks more like a photograph of her. It captures her completely and I absolutely love it--even my husband was impressed! I never would have been able to come up with this on my own and I'm so grateful this product included every detail of the image I sent. Will definitely be looking for more photos to recreate on canvas because I enjoyed it so much! I don’t see any contact information anywhere** A: I guess contact Amazon **Q: on average how long will it take to complete a 12x16? thinking about doing for a craft at an event for adults** A: I have done a simple one for myself, 12x16 inches, but not very complex in lines and numbers. It took me 2 days (a weekend). About 4 to 6 hours a day. **Q: Can you do pictures of landscapes?** A: I think you can use a photo of anything. I found that the seller's conversion program does not produce an exact likeness of the photo. The colors are not always correct and the painting looks "art deco." I did not get a painting that looked exactly like the photo I submitted. But the product is acceptable and useable. **Q: Will wedding pics on the beach turn out? There are a lot of light colors with the sand and outfits** A: If you are looking for detail I would say no. If you like abstract realism type art, leaning toward impressionism I think it would be lovely. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I will order more *by K***Y on June 3, 2026* I have 3 dogs, and I wanted to buy a painting of each of them, but they are expensive to commission.
