Review: Great build quality and functionality for a large press - Needed to replace our 15-year-old garlic press after a weld failed on it. I had no idea that the size of our previous press was apparently immense compared to most that are out there, as I tried 2 others prior to this one and the tool’s well was barely big enough for a tiny garlic clove, much less the 2-3 cloves I was used to being able to press. Beyond that, the other presses rusted in the dishwasher. I decided to step up my game and spend a little more in order to get this press. So far I’m happy I did. It is very easy to use, as the mechanism allows little strength to easily press any garlic clove. Although it still isn’t as big as my previous press, you can at least fit a very large or a couple of smaller cloves into the press, and then easily mince them with little effort. The quality of the finish and mechanism is excellent. It’s built like a tank and is comfortable to use. I have tried pressing cloves without peeling them first, which I’ve tried a couple of times and it works (sadly, I usually forget until I’ve already peeled them!). Cleaning it is fairly easy, as long as you rinse off the press right after you use it (pretty much the same as any other), and then I throw it in the dishwasher and there have been zero negative results of doing this. I’d consider this worth the cost and it seems like it will have a place in my kitchen for years to come.

Other presses is just a cup with holes in it, and I found them frustrating to clean to the point where I preferred mincing by hand This is the best manual garlic press I've used! **Q: I wonder how this compares to the kuhn rikon epicurean, which i came to buy until i saw this one... anybody have experience with both?**
A: I have tried both and the Mannkitchen garlic press is superior to the Kuhn Rikon. I purchased the Mannkitchen garlic press and have had it for a couple years and use it a lot. I LOVE IT and have recommended it to others who also love it!

**Q: Is this suitable to press ginger also**
A: It's as capable as any garlic press for crushing ginger but we don't advertise it as a ginger press.  Due to the fibrous nature of ginger it tends to leave more residue behind than garlic.

**Q: Does this have a warranty? The last garlic press my girlfriend had she broke it within 2 weeks.**
A: Yes, it has a lifetime warranty covering defects in materials and craftsmanship.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to use and relatively easy to clean

This is an easy to use and relatively easy to clean garlic press. There is some sort of mechanical advantage when pressing down as I find this press the easiest to use. One can place large cloves of garlic into the hopper and press down - the grind is somewhat medium which is good as larger ground pieces of garlic impart more flavor. Cleaning is relatively easy, as the grated portion swings open by itself so you can rinse it under the tap. The handle is rounded so that it is easy to grip even with wet hands - I only wish on the next iteration, they figure out a way to reduce the space between the handles when crushing multiple cloves so that it is even easier to crush - those of you with large hands will probably not face this issue. The garlic press looks like it is well made - I've placed it in the dishwasher a few times and it comes out just fine.
