A: Don’t really know.  I used mine me for a towel bar at the sink.

**Q: Does anyone know where to get a wooden or other replacement for the tacky plastic rod that has replaced the metal rod?**
A: You can use a piece of all thread

A: Yes. I purchased the white toilet paper holder, which is a paint over the cast iron. You may want to consider purchasing the white and painting over it so you don't have to worry about priming it first.

I bought this holder for my bathroom. I have an old ornate mirror to go with it. I'm glad I made the purchase because it looks great on my dark teal wall. The nails might need a little white paint touch up if they bother you, but I left them alone.The holder has a nice weight to it and it looks great. I used the anchors for the wall and it's nice and sturdy.I'm happy with my purchase.
