I have a hand held one but I use the probe all the time in the Air Fryer and the Oven. I didnt have much time to check them all out and read all the reviews before I ordered this one. It came quickly and I used it that night on some fresh caught Salmon. Sure didnt want to ruin that. Was very easy to set up. The alarm worked great and it was loud enough for me to hear. The salmon was done perfectly. I was impressed with this thermometer as my other one cost way more and had way too many settings on it for me. I am a simple girl, just want to set my temperature and have it alarm when it reaches it. This one is very much more lightweight then my others but hey, it is doing the job perfectly so I am happy. Review: Very accurate and reliable - I had one of these for many years--maybe about 20--and it worked great. It finally died and, of course, I immediately bought another. It is just as reliable as the first one, and very sensitive to temperature changes. Besides for cooking, I even use it to measure the warmth of water I add to the aquarium. ## Features - Instant readout of inner food temperature during cooking cycle - Programmable, automatic alarm alerts you when desired temperature is reached - Commercial quality stainless steel probe - Wide temperature range from 32 to 392 degrees Fahrenheit - NSF safety certified ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000PAO3HG | | Additional Features | Heat Resistant | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #333,739 in Kitchen & Dining ( See Top 100 in Kitchen & Dining ) #125 in Instant-Read Thermometers & Timers | | Brand | AcuRite | | Brand Name | AcuRite | | Color | Red | | Connectivity Technology | Wired | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 118 Reviews | | Display Type | Digital | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00072397009935 | | Immersion Depth | 3 feet | | Included Components | Probe | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Inner Material | Stainless Steel | | Item Length | 3 feet | | Item Weight | 0.27 g | | LowerTemperature Range | 32 °F | | Manufacturer | AcuRite | | Model | 00993ST | | Model Name | Acuren Digital Meat Thermometer | | Number of Batteries | 2 AA batteries required. | | Outer Material | Stainless Steel | | Part Number | 00993ST | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Product Care Instructions | Oven Safe, Wipe Clean | | Response Time | 500 milliseconds | | Reusability | Reusable | | Special Feature | Heat Resistant | | Specification Met | usda | | Style Name | Contemporary | | UPC | 072397009935 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Upper Temperature Range | 392 °F | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Brand:** AcuRite - **Color:** Red - **Connectivity Technology:** Wired - **Display Type:** Digital - **Included Components:** Probe - **Outer Material:** Stainless Steel - **Product Care Instructions:** Oven Safe, Wipe Clean - **Special Feature:** Heat Resistant - **Specification Met:** usda ## Images ![(00993STA4) Digital Meat Thermometer with Probe for Oven/Grill - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81CCg2joQlL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ DID THE JOB FOR ME *by K***B on December 22, 2024* My old digital probe timer quit working so I had to buy another one quickly.
