I mounted this unit under a 5 gal metal bucket and added a solar charger. Goes off every day on time. Set timer for 10 seconds once a day. Delivers the right amount of pelletized floating catfish food everyday for up to two weeks before refilling. Shoots food from 2 to 40 feet across pond. Very satisfied. Update: I had to build a funnel inside the bucket to keep food flowing towards the center of the bucket to keep feeder cage full. Batteries do last a long time. Easy to program timer. My only issue that I had was the spinner flappers broke after about 4 months of usage. This is the second one that we had to send back for repairs. Moultrie has been real good about replacing feeder. It would be more convenient if moultrie could send the replacement part instead of sending the feeder back.
