The net itself is 32 inches or so. **Q: would the net be durable enough to catch baby chiks from a big cage?** A: Net was given as a gift, so no personal experience with it. As a net, it was pretty "durable" -- it probably could catch a couple of chicks. As a full-time assignment, probably wouldn't last too long. **Q: Can anyone tell me the size of the net holes on these? Are any smaller than others? Small insects come through the holes on my current net.** A: The mesh hole size is about 2mm.
