I use them as a mid layer when really cold or as a top layer mid-season. They have proved quite durable. I now have 6 in different colours and rotate them as I use them for various outdoor activities e.g. walking, Skiing. Much better value than branded outdoor wear and, in my experience, useful. Light weight and warm (rather than hot which makes them more flexible in my experience).
