The best Ive ever owned. **Q: does this saw cut through metal?...example patio umbrella pole** A: Yes with a fine-tooth blade, you can use a course blade carefully but with a thin cross-section like the an umbrella pole, a fine pitch blade is better choice (18 pitch course compared to a 24 pitch blade) **Q: Anyone buy the improved metal version? If so, is it all metal? I hate cheap plastic.** A: It is all metal with some rubber over molding. It is very well made in my opinion especially for the price.
