I returned the first order because I assumed the wrong color was delivered. It seemed clearly very gold. I re-ordered and got the same color. I figured I would give it a try. It didn’t dry as gold as it appeared when you opened the paint container, but it’s definitely NOT silver. in the first picture, you can see my partially painted frame how it is a very brassy gold and changes to neutral champagne.The paint is extremely thick. I could hold the paint pot upside down, and it wouldn’t come out. If you have a frame or something, you’re painting where you want to smooth out some rough edges or dinks, you could easily do it with this paint. It’s a little harder to get a smooth coat on a very clean, smooth edge. Of my two frames was a little too ornate, and the thickness of the paint helped to calm it down a bit. My other frame had a smooth exterior, so it was a bit hard to give it a super clean look. But I really do like the quality and the feel and the coloring. It doesn’t have a fake kind of look. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Creamy bronze like color, good coverage and easy to apply *by on Reviewed in the United States February 8, 2026* I’ve used Rub ’n Buff and Pebeo before and that's the basis for comparison here, but I needed a true bronze shade, which neither of those lines offered in the color I wanted. This one fit the bill, and I was excited to try it as soon as it arrived.I started using it immediately, and so far I’m very impressed. The texture is creamy and easy to work with, making it simple to apply evenly. It gives great coverage, even over black. I prefer to build in light layers, but this wax is thick enough that you can get solid coverage much faster if you want. I'm using it on a foam applicator for tight spots and my finger for bigger areas and things working well both ways.It goes on smoothly, a little goes a long way , it doesn’t feel streaky, and gives a beautiful metallic finish. In terms of quality and ease of use, it’s every bit as good as the other well-known brands I’ve used.Overall, this is good stuff, and I’m very happy with how it’s working so far.
