PC-Rot Terminator is a professional-grade two-part epoxy wood hardener designed to restore and reinforce rotted or decayed wood. Its low viscosity formula penetrates deeply to fill voids and bind wood fibers, curing to a durable, waterproof, and paintable finish. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, it offers a broad application temperature range and a generous 60-minute work time, making it ideal for structural wood repairs that last decades.

## Description

Product Description PC-Rot Terminator is structural wood hardener designed to strengthen decayed or rotted wood. The mixture is a low viscosity liquid that penetrates porous surfaces filling and sealing voids with an epoxy that cures to a hard but durable component. PC-Rot Terminator is useful for replacement of missing wood fibers or wood resin. PC-Rot Terminator fills the voids in the wood with an elastomer that has strength greater than wood. PC-Rot Terminator acts as a binder that glues the wood fibers together. The wood fibers become much stronger in combination with the epoxy elastomer. PC-Rot Terminator contains 100 percent active ingredients and does not contain solvents which may evaporate and cause shrinkage. The cure rate in the thicker sections is faster than in the thin sections. The greater the temperature, the faster the cure time. PC-Rot Terminator cure can be accelerated using a light bulb or other gentle heat source. The cure rate is halved for every 20 degree F increase. After cure (roughly 24 hours) fill in missing pieces with PC Woody paste epoxy. One unit of 24 ounces will seal 50 to 100 square feet of deck as a sealer. For severely rotted wood, one unit will treat 500 to 2500 cubic inches. The amount of usage depends on the porosity of wood. Damp wood that is heavy with water will not accept the maximum amount of the mixture. PC-Rot Terminator can not displace water in wood. Work time: 60 minutes. Thin film set: 12 Hours. Cure for service: 24 Hours. Maximum cure: 7 Day. Compressive modulus: 230000 psi. Compressive yield strength: 6500 psi. Tensile strength: 4500 psi. Tensile modulus: 210000 psi. I was intrigued by the fact that this product claimed to provide structural repair in restoration projects. I used the PC-Woody in combination with the PC- Rot Terminator. I was repairing an 1850's walnut support beam with a longitudinal split. The "Terminator" penetrated and hardened the area needing repair. The epoxy "Woody" made a very stiff paste that could be worked into the gaps and gripped without sagging. I could not be more pleased with the results. After curing the beam was solid. Great products.

This is my third 1.5 gal PC-Rot Terminator kit. I have used this product, in conjunction with PC-Woody, to restore windows and the porch on my 150 year old house for the past 20 years, and repairs done 20 years ago to porch columns and windows are still in perfect condition and holding paint. Wood to be treated must be dry, clean and paint-free. Epoxy must be fully cured and sanded before paint will adhere properly. A coating of PC-Woody sufficient to produce a smooth sandable surface is usually essential unless wood is still smooth. Makes a great end grain sealer for long term rot resistance. Heat may be required for full cure in cool weather. Watched the video's.........READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE STARTING! Be sure to have a 2 measuring cups, 4 plastic putty knives, rubber or plastic gloves, a hard plastic plate ( to mix the ingredients together....it will be the consistency of sugar cookie dough ) and get ready to complete your project in small increments. The weather temperature will dictate how fast your project will dry so .........pace yourself. It took 72 hours of 40° weather to CURE the beams I was reinforcing. They are like concrete! Would purchase this product again! Great product.......Excellent Vendor Thank You Amazon
