Q: How heavy is each ball? Do they bounce?

They are plastic balls made of the same or like material as a wiffle ball but thinner. So yes they do bounce but they are not bouncy like a rubber ball. My toddler can crush these out of our smallish backyard off a tee. So they are not very hefty so they wont hurt if if you accidentally bean your kid with one.

Q: I'm looking for solid balls, which I thought there were, but the description says 'Perforated balls provide lightweight safety'. Are these perforated?

No they are solid. Just like the ones that come with the pitching machine

Q: Can i use metal baseball bat with these balls?

Well... you can, but don't expect the balls to stay intact very long. My 8-yo grandson has cracked a few with a plastic bat.
