Our Man in Havana is the great Graham Greene's saucy adaptation of his own novel, starring the singular Alec Guinness as a vacuum-cleaner salesman in pre-revolutionary Cuba, bizarrely recruited as a British Intelligence spy. As his imagination turns out to be more highly developed that his espionage skills, the plot thickens. An extraordinary cast also includes Noel Coward, Burl Ives, Maureen O'Hara, Ernie Kovacs and Ralph Richardson. Directed by Carol Reed.

Review: A Well Done Movie! - I really enjoyed watching this movie. This "spy" movie starts out with a light hearted somewhat comedic tone, and then slowly progresses to a more serious nature. The acing is very good, especially Alec Guinness. And of course, Carol Reed did a great job directing the movie (based on a Grahame Greene novel). I should also mention that the quality of the Blu Ray disc is excellent!

I really enjoyed watching this movie. This "spy" movie starts out with a light hearted somewhat comedic tone, and then slowly progresses to a more serious nature. The acing is very good, especially Alec Guinness. And of course, Carol Reed did a great job directing the movie (based on a Grahame Greene novel). I should also mention that the quality of the Blu Ray disc is excellent!

One of my all time favorite films. Alec Guinness Noel Coward Maureen O’Hara Ernie Kovacs - filmed in Cuba just after the revolution by Carol Reed. Fine music, a film I could watch over and over and I have. 5 stars and definitely on my top 5 all time list.
