You can't stick one end of a cable in the guitar and one end in the headphones and expect to hear anything. If you have a pedal that is effectively a preamp with speaker simulation (e.g. a Joyo ACTone that emulates a Vox AC30 amplifier) then you could set it up as Tx in the guitar, Rx in the pedal input...but then you will still need either another set of wireless T/R's to go from the pedal output to the headphones....or a standard guitar cable to do the same. This system is not an amplifier. It just transmits a signal w/o amplification. When it was working, the sound was great, clear, long power on charge, with no noticeable delay. Given the expired warranty and low purchase price, I decided to take it apart to see if I could repair the switch. It was shot, and the only way to repair it would be to put a new factory pcb board in it. As such, I will never buy another wireless system that uses the cheap type of slider switch(es) used on these (and note, many do). Instead, I will purchase a system that uses only push buttons for operation. As a side note, I recently bought a cheap UHF system with buttons, but the sound was terrible, with noticeable distortion even at low levels, so beware.
