It holds an edge like no knife I have ever used. It slices like no chef knife I have ever used.The negative part is it is heavy. VERY heavy. Surprised me how it feels in the hand. Sort of awkward a bit in the handle and one needs to have good hands to use it well. Arthritis doesn't make it easy to use.One issue I have is that I am a bit afraid to use a honer on it. I don't want to damage the razor sharp blade, though that is the point I guess. It cuts through meat like butter, but has slowed down the process as the sharpness have begun to fail.
