Review: Great starter drone for both kids and adults - I've purchased this drone 5 times - for nieces, nephews and God kids aged 4-11. This is an outstanding primer for flying real drones without having to spend $$$ on expensive equipment that a kid would likely inadvertently break. This is perfect for practice before moving them to more sophisticated drones. These starter drones for kids are lightweight and durable. They perform very well and can execute a number of in-flight tricks once the kid has grown accustomed to flying it. There's no real learning curve - I hand the kid the controller and they can usually figure it out on their own. Things to be cautious of: - don't fly outdoors on windy days! - battery life is 7 minutes. When using drones, make sure other two battery packs are charging. - the battery packs are exposed soft cell batteries. Keep out of reach of pets and keep battery away from any type of water source. This means no flying outdoors when it's wet out. The water can destroy the battery. Have fun!
Review: Great beginner drone for the $ - First off, I am a complete novice when it comes to drones. (quadcopters) I have flown basic RC helicopter (way more expensive than this) and they were a bit of a nightmare. I knew I wanted something with some assists so I could actually control it, and I knew I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on something I barely understood. Enter the Holystone HS210 Mini Drone. It fit the bill perfectly. Easy to setup, easy to fly, and if you smack a wall (which I did...a lot) easy to recover without crashing. It is about the size of your palm, so it doesn't feel as fragile as some of the micros look. The auto take off takes a bit of a light touch, but I did manage not to plant it on the ceiling. If you are anything like me, you get a new thing and you want to play with it right away. Much to my surprise, the batteries charged quickly. (I used a USB brick from a phone charger, the instructions say not to plug directly into a USB socket. I believe that means the electrical sockets with built in USB ports) I read through the instructions one time, and I was off and flying around my living room. I can see where headless mode (you basically just push a direction and it goes) would be good for kids. But I much prefer to leave that off and fly it proper. And remember, I suck at these things. After the first battery was drained, (approx 10mins) I felt confident enough to fly it around into other rooms and man this little thing is fun. I have not brought it outside although I may do so later. I had to turn ceiling fans off to fly indoors so I doubt it would handle wind well. I never expected to get such a fun little drone for less than $30. If you want to see what all the buzz is about, (pun intended) then grab an Holystone HS210 and start flying.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun Little Drone — Smaller Than Expected, but Still a Great Starter for Kids

I got the drone for my daughter, thinking it’d be a decent toy to introduce her to flying drones, and it absolutely delivered, with a few small caveats. First impression: It’s a lot smaller than I expected. Think palm-sized. But that actually works in its favor, it’s light, safe to use indoors, and easy for little hands to control. The drone is very beginner-friendly, with intuitive controls and features like altitude hold, one-key takeoff/landing, and even flips. My daughter picked it up right away and had a blast learning to fly it. It does come with two batteries, which is great in theory… but in practice, each one lasts only about 5-6 minutes. You definitely need both batteries to get any decent playtime, and more would be even better. Charging time is also a bit long for such short usage. On the bright side, this drone is shockingly durable. It’s crashed more times than I can count (into walls, furniture, floors…) and keeps flying like nothing happened. The propeller guards are a great safety feature. Verdict: If you go in knowing it’s tiny and that battery life is short, it’s a fantastic little drone to get kids excited about flying. Safe, sturdy, and fun, just keep the charger handy.
