They work well on pretty thick corrugated cardboard, but I haven't tried anything thicker than one sheet. **Q: Can left handed people use it comfortably?** A: I am sorry. I am 100% right handed. I just tried them with my left hand, though. It seems to me that they should work fine with the left hand too. I wish I could be of more help. **Q: Will these cut through Davey board easily?** A: Davey board is like what is used for hard-back books? No, I don't think it would be easy but I do think they would do it. **Q: can you cut with craft sticks?** A: I was able to cut a popsicle size craft stick in half, widthwise. It wasn't easy, took a strong grasp and the pieces shot out when cut. One piece cracked as well. When I tried cutting lengthwise, again not easy and one whole side cracked. But I've also found they are good for everything. I especially like them to cut up a tossed salad in a small container. Maybe it is the way they are shaped, but they are so easy to use, and make it a chopped salad with no effort. I literally use them for everything, including some really heavy duty stuff. I have significant hand arthritis and they cut heavy things unlike anything else I have. They have also lasted a long time with no bending or rust or anything.
