The grip on the handle isn't as smooth as other KBs I have, however that's something I really prefer for doing swings, snatches, halos, curls and other exercises where some movement on the hands is needed on the handle. Many people prefer a very smooth grip but I prefer to have handles with some grit on it so when my hands start to sweat a lot I don't lose the grip. The size on it is very compact for being a 50lb one and although the base isn't completely flat like my other Yes4all kettlebell it doesn't wobbles much.
