I decided to just replace the left because the right one was working perfectly fine, and didn’t want to mess with the adhesive. The tools in this kit came in handy, and I only really needed the blue driver and blue plastic pic. A flat head screwdriver would help to with prying the speaker off too. After following the steps to replace the speaker online, hardest part being removing the speaker, I put everything back together but the sound from the new speaker was really distorted (low-mids). After doing some reading, most people were saying it was an issue with the adhesive not being sealed/strong enough. However, the adhesive on these speakers were just fine. I ended up fixing the distortion by simply putting a few pieces of electrical tape on the back cover, where it lines up to the speakers (you’ll see 2 small little pads on each side of the cover where the speakers will touch, next to the clips that hold the cover on the sides). I put a few pieces of tape across the pads to keep the speakers snug and preventing rattling. After putting it back together again, the sound was perfect! Definitely recommend. Most of that time was spent removing the old speaker. I only had to replace the left speaker, so I'm keeping the right speaker as a backup in case the right speaker fails. I had to use a metal nail file to pry the old speaker out. Once that was done it was easy to install. The new speaker comes with adhesive tape so it drops in easily. Sound quality is the same as the original.
