Set up for a breeze. We attached it between two trees in the shade. It did take about 30 seconds for the water to wind its way from the facet through our long hose, up a tree and through the hose of the unit before it started working. We had it on a medium water pressure level and it misted perfectly for over 7 hours. People loved it! When I took it down I was surprised and pleased to find that the ground below was not overly wet or muddy, just a little damp. During use, I did note the formation of water droplets on the hose during use, but it was not enough of a problem that anyone complained or that it created a watery mess below. We do have nice thick grass, and it was a hot day, (though set up in the shade) so perhaps without those conditions there might be more water below. If I try it elsewhere, such as on our deck, I will update my review. As a precaution for avoiding calcium build up, I removed the brass nozzles and allowed them to dry out on a paper towel over night (they each had about one droplet of water inside) before packing them in a zip lock bag in the original box. Also, I hung the hose up by one end to allow remaining droplets of water to drain out overnight from the hose adapter end before packing away. The original box is sturdy and perfect for keeping and storing the mister, though I might go ahead and order a second unit and attach it to our deck for the summer. Everything does not cause cancer. I have a garden hose that's 100% safe to drink out of. It wasn't that long ago that we all thought asbestos was a wonder product perfectly safe for kids to play with. **Q: Can you connect this to another obit system to get more misting nozzles?** A: I don't think so; I connected two of the 3/8 inch systems for use on my rabbit hutches, and those state that you can connect them. The 1/4" does not. I gave the 1/4" system to a friend, so don't have it to look at. Sorry. I did get some questions answered last year by going to the Orbit web site and reading some of their stuff. **Q: How much water does this consume? I didn't see any gph rating to estimate required feed capacity but maybe I missed it. Thanks!** A: About 1/2 gallon per nozzle per hour. But it also depends on water pressure. I ran it all summer 10 hours a day and didn't notice it on the bill. **Q: Has anyone used this to mist a moss garden?** A: No I have not. I do have a moss garden and let it go dormant. It would work if your water is not so overly chlorinated I would think. Both if hang out in your garden. *by O***Y on July 27, 2020* Mister works great, and it really cools you off. The little clips that come with it to mount it are total garbage. The metal rusts within a week of getting moist. Which, if you are using them on a mister, is inevitable. I would buy this again but would plan to mount them without the cheap clips that it comes with. This is great for cooling and works awesome to water my garden.
