For some unknown mystical reason, 10m and 12m sockets always seem to sprout legs and disappear. I bought this purely for backup. It's always a good idea to at least have two or three of the 10s and 12s around. It's truly a mystery. It's not due to the size, because I have metric 8 sockets and lower that I've had for 10+ years. Something about the 10 and 12 mm sockets; they WILL DISAPPEAR!!! I don't even know how, but it happens. It used to bother me a bit, and I'd get frustrated. Now I just laugh about it. I've probably lost at least FIFTEEN of these little guys over the years!! Probably half of them still running on the road, stuck on bolts where I hammered them on and forgot about it. I don't care how tidy you keep things, or how clean your shop is. You -will- have trouble keeping track of these sockets no matter what.
