That doesnt stop him from going out and hitting the clubs . On one fateful Friday he meets two guys that are obviously a couple and they're very interested in the beautiful glittery man who seems just as facinated by them.Caleb and Everett are lifelong friends and have close family connections. Both alphas love each other but they know something or someone is missing Jayne IS interested but also thinks the two in shape guys could keep him safe from his maniac ex Bastian. The creep HAS drugged Jayne's drink and it’s lucky the three were leaving the club when the roofies hit. Bastian tries to scare away Caleb and Everett and take Jayne but they are able to overcome him.This book thoroughly explores all the situations concerning the guys and it's eye opening. We see and hear from many of the SDSG and others among their families. There are life changing events for Jane and his family and also for Caleb and Everett. Bastian does not go away quietly and Jayne discovers deep resevoirs of strength inside himself. The guys have similar epiphanies.I can't believe that in 145k words I can't find more information to tell that won’t spoil the great story. But I really really don't want to ruin any of the WOW!! moments in this book. This is my favorite so far! I'm sure I say that with each new book in the series, but that means they just keep getting better. I love Jayne, Caleb and Everett. These three guys are wonderful. Jayne is as sassy and snarky as he was in the last book, but this time we also get to see who he is under his shell and behind his walls. He has been hurt, but still open to new experiences and new people. He hold so much inside, that it is great to see him let himself be free with Caleb and Everett.I can't believe that I didn't get the connect between Jayne and his brothers names. Once Mal made his appearance in this book I got it along with the characters. I love this love tribute to a fantastic series.I loved the message this book gives. How great Caleb and Everett are with Jayne and his family. How they want him to be safe, loved, honored, cherished, enjoyed, and to feel capable. They don't need to take care of him, they need to love him and be there for him. They help him stand on his own two feet and help support his family as well. Shep needed an example of a good male role model, that isn't his brother, and the guys step up and take time to be there for him.I highly suggest that you read all the books in this series since they are all great. I can't wait for Knot's story. I feel like it will be epic. This is an amazing series from a wonderful author. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Lovely Romance *by L***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2021* The Promise is the fifth book in the Single Dad Support Group series, a contemporary, omegaverse romance. The book does feature a poly relationship (m/m/m) so if that is not your cup of tea then move on. I absolutely love this series and was incredibly excited for this next installment.This book deals with some heavy issues revolving around an obsessive and dangerous ex-boyfriend turned stalker, and the trauma and healing that comes from escaping an abusive relationship. Each of the three men in this relationship will have to face their own insecurities and work through these issues, both as individuals and together, before they can find their happy ever after. The romance was sweet with a lot of humor, sass, and incredibly hot sex scenes. I also really enjoyed the edge of danger that was threaded throughout the plot as the stalker became more and more obsessed. Overall, this was a wonderful read.The audiobook was narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo who did a great job with the narration. Michael has narrated the previous books in this series and has a done a wonderful job making sure to keep the voices of the characters pretty consistent throughout the series. I had no trouble identifying each character throughout the narration and found it pretty easy to follow along in the story. Michael also did a great job with the performance and put just the right amount of flair and energy into the book without making it over the top.
