It is heavy. It's all aluminum around the perimeter, rubber on back and in choice areas, etc. Screen protector is integrated into the case. I'd say the only real downsides to this is that the screen protector is not replaceable. It is also heavy. But if you are paying for the phone and the recipient of such is reckless or unlucky, this case will definitely save you $$$ in phone repairs. Nothing is completely foolproof, but this case gets pretty close. I've bought a few and I haven't found anything better. Review: Has saved me hundreds - So I’ve bought 3 of these for 3 different iPhones. I have not had another case that is this durable. It has saved my phone countless times. I am in the landscaping and hardscaping business and I am always dropping my phone on rocks, running over it with wheel barrows, getting it dirty, etc. the only thing I did to modify it was, pulling out the screen protector it came with and installing one that sticks to the screen. Though it isn’t technically water resistant now, I’ve found that the case fits so tightly that water splashes do not really make it past the case. Again, landscaper here, my phone has been sprayed by sprinklers and dropped in (shallow) mud puddles and NO damage. The paint does start to chip off and I’ve lost a few screws, but it comes with extra, just keep up with those. And for those of you that are go getters, putting a little locktite on the screws prior to installation pretty much cures this issue. But don’t put too much cuz you’ll never get the screws out of you need to open the case. Just the teeniest tiniest dab you can imagine will do it. Oh, one more thing, only downside to this case, because it’s metal, I seem to lose service when traveling before others do. I live in Austin Texas and can travel between Houston, Austin, and Dallas without issue, but when I get further out, I’ll lose service and my wife won’t. I don’t really mind that as I can swap to a different case for long distance travel. ## Features - Compatible with iphone 7/8/SE 2020 - Tempered glass:Protective front casing with built in bubble free screen protector enhances touch sensitivity. - Cool designed:dual layer metal with silicone protect your phone against scratches, damage and dirt. - Tough Armour Defender:Sturdy but stylish, heavy duty bulky but protective, full-access to phone features, won't cover the camera or charging ports. - Note: Water resistant, just protects your mobile phone from the rain or the sudden water damage, but does not support diving, and it cannot using for swimming, surfing or being soaked in the water. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07P8M7XC5 | | Additional Features | Camera Protector, MS-IP7-GTX-BK | | Best Sellers Rank | #94,546 in Cell Phones & Accessories ( See Top 100 in Cell Phones & Accessories ) #32,866 in Cell Phone Basic Cases | | Brand | Marrkey | | Built-In Media | Tempered glass | | Color | Black | | Compatible Cellular Phone Models | Apple iPhone 8 | | Compatible Devices | iPhone | | Compatible Phone Models | iPhone SE | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 1,202 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Aluminum, Metal, Silicone | | Finish | Metallic | | Form Factor | Basic Case | | Item Dimensions | 6 x 3.8 x 0.5 inches | | Item Highlight | Black 360 Full Body Protective Cover, Aluminum Case with Silicone Back and Built-in Screen Protector | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 6 x 3.8 x 0.5 inches | | Manufacturer | Marrkey | | Material | Aluminum, Metal, Silicone | | Mfr Part Number | MS-IP7-GTX-BK | | Model Number | MS-IP7-GTX-BK | | Pattern | Armor Military Grade,Full Body Protective | | Screen Size | 4.7 inches | | Set Name | iPhone 7/8/SE | | Theme | Outdoors Sports | | UPC | 669909791435 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Marrkey - **Color:** Black - **Compatible Devices:** iPhone - **Compatible Phone Models:** iPhone SE - **Material:** Aluminum, Metal, Silicone ## Images ![For iPhone 7/8/SE 2020 4.7" - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Gd9eWyc9L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does the built-in screen protector affect touch sensitivity?** A: No. The integrated screen protector is designed to maintain smooth touch response and screen clarity while helping protect against scratches, dust, and daily wear. **Q: Does the metal frame interfere with phone signal or wireless connections?** A: No noticeable interference is expected during normal use. The case supports stable cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity. In areas with weak network coverage, the metal frame may slightly affect signal strength. **Q: Can I use wireless charging without removing the case?** A: Yes. The case supports wireless charging without removal. Note that the silicone back cover may slightly reduce charging efficiency, so wireless charging may take a bit longer than charging the device without a case. **Q: How does the honeycomb shock-absorption system work?** A: The internal honeycomb structure helps absorb and disperse impact energy, reducing shock transferred to your phone during accidental drops. **Q: Is this case fully waterproof?** A: No. The case offers IP54-rated protection against rain, splashes, snow, and dust. It is not designed for swimming, diving, surfing, or full water immersion. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very sturdy, good value, heavy, screen is not replaceable *by J***S on January 5, 2026* I have 2 family members that have very bad luck with phones .... and so they get to have this case. Cons- Not waterproof (ear speaker piece is mesh, not plastic)… I’m not a big fan of the small chrome ring around the home button, but after having several of these cases, I understand why it’s there (adhesive that holds the touch-sensitive pad in breaks down over time and then they can come loose when cleaning). All that being said, I will likely buy this exact case again if I don’t replace my phone before I manage to trash this case. ## Frequently Bought Together - Marrkey for iPhone 8 Case,iPhone 7 Case, 360 Full Body Protective Cover Heavy Duty Shockproof Tough Armour Aluminum Metal Case with Silicone Built-in Screen Protector for iPhone 7/8/SE - Black - iSOUL 4-Pack Screen Protector for iPhone SE 3/2 (2022/2020 Edition), iPhone 8,7,6s,6, 4.7-Inch Tempered Glass Film [Ultra HD] [3D Touch] [Case Friendly] [Lifetime Replacement Support] --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/113810937-for-iphone-7-8-se-2020-4-7](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/113810937-for-iphone-7-8-se-2020-4-7) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
