I was told that this would work on a Pioneer AVIC-X940BT. I put the radio in and tried the cable and there was no sound. I talked to the people I purchased the radio from and also to Pioneer and was told that this cable would work for this radio. I was sent another radio, and had to tear the dash apart again, actually a total of 3 times! Finally, I got a tech a Crutchfield that knew what he was talking about and said that the cable was the problem, not the radio. The cable for this radio is supposed to be a CD-IU51V!!!!! It has to have the "V" on the end or it won't work, and he was right. So they sent me the right cable, and I have this one that I will probably never find a use for, but with the cost of shipping, I would eat up the money I paid for it, so I will keep it and put it with my other cables that I don't use. It was not the fault of Amazon for this screw up, it was Crutchfield. So, make sure that anything you buy online is exactly what you WANT and NEED for your purpose. Because the freight eats you up if you have to send back and get another. Enough said! However, it is quite expensive. After my purchase I tried using one of the cheap iPod cables (you can get for just a few dollars) to connect my iPod Touch 32G or my iPod Classic 80G to the Pioneer 9400BH and the super cheap connector worked just as well. My recommendation...save the money, get a generic brand, and take your significant other out to dinner with the money you saved. If you like the black heavy-duty look though...this is the one. The only negative would be having a wire that is sticks out from the stereo and no real place to put it so that it looks good.
