Review: Quick and Easy remote start install! - This review is to state this product works as stated. I spent a little more on this so I wouldn't have to splice any wires and it was worth it. Yes I have installed remote starters before on my suvs (GMC Terrain, Honda CR-V, Ford Escape) so I do have experience. This one is straight forward. Follow the video and you should be up and running in 20-30 easy. I did get a little mixed up with programming so I had to reset and I messed up with which harness plugs in but customer service got me through that (customer service was busy and I did have to wait on phone for over 50 minutes, man I hate the theme from James Bond now) so 3 presses of lock button and my Rav4 starts right up

**Q: Do i suppose to disconnect the battery before installing the start-x?**
A: It is always advised to disconnect the battery before performing any electrical work. That being said, I installed mine in the driveway, at night, without disconnecting battery

**Q: Will the truck remain on if you unlock the vehicle and open the door? i'm assuming it does with the non push button start rav4s.**
A: They truck will stay on about 10 to 15 mins  even if u unlock the door not need to press on the brakes stop it all u need to do I push thr keys jsut like how u would start it.

**Q: What distance does this work?**
A: mine works up to 400 feet

**Q: Does this start the engine or just power the vehicle from the battery?**
A: This will start your engine by pressing the lock button on your key 3 times. Once you have installed it.

I'm very familiar with cars and install took me 10-15 minutes, running wires and plugging them into the main module. Everything comes included in the box, zip ties to an (optional) hood pin switch. There is a very helpful instructional video on YouTube and the written directions were easy to follow as well. The only thing that was not shown in the video however is the mounting location of the module, other than that I'm very pleased and happy with the purchase. Winters start ups will be a little easier now. Many thanks.
