It is outside in the snow and works great. Good battery life and great warm white light. The lights will be fine, but the battery pack may not fit through the mouth of the far. If you're going to put the batteries outside the jar, you'll have no problem. **Q: What am i not understanding about the remote? why arnt they working? there are batteries in the remotes. do i need to configure them?** A: U need to pull out the little plastic sheet on the bottom of the remote to activate the batteries.
