Outstanding,to every one who loves fiction,read it!!! Review: Cobra trap review - Peter O'Donnell is a master of the "get me out of this" genre. Born out of the swinging sixties. The gadgetry has most probably been overtaken by the computer age; the plot lines and action have survived very well. Sadly, this is the last Modesty Blaise/Willie Garvin, a series of short stories similar to the Pieces of Modesty collection. Unlike a lot of writers who eventually reduce to potboilers after one or more initial successes, O'Donnell has maintained a consistently high level of entertaining escapism. Goodbye, and thanks for some wonderful reading. Cobra Trap (Modesty Blaise Series) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wrapping Up *by M***D on July 27, 2011* The stories were obviously written to fill in any blank spaces created by the other Modesty Blaise novels. Having a very sketchy tone, none were as carefully written as those in the Pieces of Modesty collection. Nevertheless, they were still quite entertaining. I don't understand, however, the need to wrap everything up in a neat little bundle by adding a finale to the saga of Modesty Blaise. Almost all of the reviewers have agreed that the last story, The Cobra Trap, in which she and Willie die, was fitting and appropriate. I disagree - I wish it had not been written. Modesty Blaise is about deliciously suspending belief, we don't need to know that she has gotten older and would have died from a brain tumour, if a bullet had not done the job.
