Thanks** A: The foam is supplied cut into small cubes. You can pull out the desired number of cubes to get the recesses of the desired shape. This should be very handy for items with straight lines and 90 degree angles. But, it doesn't work very well with objects whose shape is far from straight lines. I use this case to carry an electric guitar, so I cut out the curved notches with a utility knife. It didn't turn out pretty, but it does its job well. When the opportunity arises, I want to order a set of foam with the cutouts I need from some specialized company. **Q: Is this high density polyethylene foam?** A: I am not sure of the technical term but the foam is thick and both layers have squares to customize the shape. **Q: Is it bulletproof?
